SkyPAD 4.0 “WALLHACK SP-004” Review & How to Buy

While the SkyPAD 3.0 had established itself as the king of speed-based glass pads, SP-004 is a completely new it has been changed to a completely new feeling. The surface is made of micro-etched glass thermally processed at 620°. The surfaces of the SkyPAD3.0 and WALLHACK SP-004 are supposed to be similar according to the manufacturer, but their feel is very different.

If 3.0 has a smooth, smooth surface, SP-004 has a smooth, matte surface with just a slight unevenness. This is easy to see when operating a mouse, but it is also evident just by looking at it. In terms of feel, it is similar to the TJX Cerapad KIN, but if you ask me if they are exactly the same, they are not.
From this change, it seems that people who do not have sweaty hands will hardly have their skin poke against the mouse pad. In fact, I was playing with the arm covers that were provided to me, but frankly, I thought they were fine either way. Of course, if you have other arm covers, you can use those, no problem. If you have sweaty hands or are concerned about the coldness of the glass pad, I think you should purchase one while you are at it.

　As for the edge finish, it’s neither too good nor too bad; it’s almost identical in construction to the SkyPAD 3.0, with minimal rounded edges and a matte finish. It does not cut when it hits the skin.

　However, due to the characteristics of the glass pad, the mouse pad itself has no cushioning. Therefore, no matter how rounded the edges are, the corners of the mousepad will still bite into your arm slightly. It is not painful, but those who have only used cloth mousepads will feel some discomfort.

　The base (non-slip surface on the back) is one of the major evolutionary points this time. In 3.0, only thin non-slip stickers were applied to four points on the back surface, and while this was not a problem as a non-slip surface due to the original weight, there were many reports of problems such as the center of the mouse pad flexing after prolonged use and interference with the main unit due to the distortion of the desk. 　The SP-004 solves this problem by having silicone rubber on the entire back surface. 　In conclusion, the “WALLHACK SP-004” is the best gaming mousepad for those who “want to use a glass pad, but want something that is easy to stop the mouse to some extent.” In conclusion, the “WALLHACK SP-004” is the best gaming mouse pad for people who want to use a glass pad but also want something that is easy to hold the mouse in place. In addition, it has a surface treatment that prevents the arm from getting caught even without an arm sleeve, flat rubber on all sides that prevents flexing with high adsorption, and a new shipping package that I personally think is close to “perfect”.
Personally, I think that the SP-004 is a glass pad that only shows its true value when used with the Obsidian Pro sole. On the other hand, if you don’t want to move toward control, there is no need to rush to replace the 3.0.
