SPECIFICATION
Kurosun Samurai is the first balanced type mousepad by NA’s gaming gear brand “Kurosun”.
Kurosun Samurai is a new mousepad with a completely new surface, moisture-proof, durable, and smooth and stable feel. The new mousepad was used by Yay, Deryeon of BLEED Espots and EG Supaman at the VCT Pacific and has been the talk of the town since its release last year, along with the reputation of Ninja.

DESIGN
The design is honestly quite a different design for different tastes.
Although it is said to be popular overseas, there is a dilemma that Japanese style is not easily liked by Japanese people.
However, the white stitching and black base coloring is very cool, and it is nice to be able to tell at a glance what kind of mousepad it is. Simple and distinctive design is important to the brand.
SURFACE
The surface is full of originality, unlike any mousepad ever seen or touched before.
The surface looks like a mesh finish, but it could also be described as a pressed knit surface. In fact, it is quite smooth, but if you press your fingernail against it, you can certainly feel the texture of the fibers.
STITCH
The stitching process is white in color and contrasts beautifully with the black surface.
It is processed at a height that prevents it from snagging on the arms, and there is no fraying at all.
The quality of the stitching process is perfect.
BASE
The base is made of the same polyurethane as the previous Kurosun Ninja; it is as hard as Artisan MID and features moderate adsorption to the desk.
Large, specially designed soles, for example, rarely sink even with force, and even if they are fully domed soles, they will not sink unless some force is applied.
This type of hard mouse pad is less likely to be affected by people who strain while tracking and allows for stable mouse operation.
Conversely, when stopping the mouse, the base does not sink when vertical force is applied, so the mouse must be controlled only by left/right movement to stop it.
SPEED
As for the key feel, Samurai can be said to be a mouse pad whose feel varies considerably depending on the shape of the mouse skate.
The initial movement is light, and the tracking feeling is the same as the initial movement, but a slight heaviness is felt only when changing direction.
The domed skates provides a fairly light control feel, and the speed is the same throughout. Conversely, this one provides a certain degree of control by putting more effort into it, and its unique feature is that you can feel the bumps when you cross the fibers. In other words, it is lighter than the large-size sole in terms of speed, but the feedback from the mouse pad is much stronger.
Overall, I can say that the balance pad is heavier than the Kurosun Ninja. At least, it is heavier than the MID of Artisan Zero, which is synonymous with balance pads.

Summary
In conclusion, the “Kurosun Samurai” is the perfect gaming mousepad for those who are looking for a new kind of balanced mousepad.
To be honest, it is an expensive kind of mouse pad, but I prefer it to the Kurosun Ninja because of its flatness, stable operation, and gliding feeling that is not too fast. I prefer it to the Kurosun Ninja at least by far, because it has the feeling of a surface that does not catch on the arm, which is almost a must for me.
Kurosun has a thorough branding and unified product design. Maybe a control mouse pad or Ninja V2 will be released next. I’m looking forward to seeing the new ones.
